Privacy Policy
What MSPMap collects, why, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account data: your name, email address and a salted Argon2id password hash. We never store your password.
- Provider listings: company details, office coordinates and service-area geometry that you choose to publish.
- Reviews: ratings and text you submit. Published reviews show your first name and last initial.
- Technical data: a session cookie for signing in, and short-lived, hashed network identifiers used for rate limiting and abuse prevention.
Location searches
If you use “my location”, your browser asks for permission first. Coordinates are used to run your search and are not stored in your account. Typed place searches are sent to our configured geocoding service, and results are cached.
Cookies
We use one essential, HttpOnly session cookie when you sign in. We use your browser's local storage only to remember your light/dark theme choice. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
We email you only for account activity: verification, password resets, team invitations, listing decisions and (for reviewers) moderation and response notices.
Your choices
- Edit your name and password from your account settings at any time.
- Delete your account from account settings. Your reviews are deleted with it; a company listing you solely own is unpublished.
